Western Design Studio, Inc. successfully presented a zoning case before the Maricopa County Zoning Board Council to deviate from the required 40ft Front Yard Setback to only 29ft. WDS was granted Zoning Variance Approval.

Western Design Studio, Inc.proposed a Code Modification to reduce Outside-Air Requirements for a Calvary Chapel tenant improvement. WDS was granted approval for the Code Modification via a submittal to City of Mesa prepared by Rossman Associates Engineering. This was a huge victory as it allowed for reduced scope and improvements, helping the Congregation remain closer budget.

Western Design Studio, Inc. finds success in Cave Creek. After getting Contract for Arizona Office of Pennsylvania-based Tyrol Insurance Company, WDS gains permit on one plan Review and recommends Durso Construction. Much time is saved for the Owner with a fast Construction start.

After performing two projects for the General Contractor in 2009, Western Design Studio, Inc. is selected by Ganem-Houston Construction as Architect-of-Record for 3 more projects through June 2010. Kristin Thoma (Architect-in-Training), performs the Construction Documents for Western Design Studio, Inc.

News: June 3, 2010…
Western Design Studio, Inc. is selected as Design Architect by Command Building Company (to join them) for Design-Build of Ambassador Academy Charter School and Kimberly Lewis School of Dance. Both Projects are granted Permit via Phoenix Permit-By-Appointment process, allowing both Jobs to be fast-tracked. Design was awarded to Western Design Studio, Inc.in June 2010 and Certificate of Occupancy was granted to Command on August 9th. (An amazing undertaking as each space is approximately 10,000 square feet in size.
